National runshing defense rankings for SEC teams

A good portion of Florida's numbers are Byrum Brown running around on them. They've been pretty dang good about containing RBs so far.

UF has surprised pretty much everyone this year and is fully deserving of their ranking. It's not lost on me though that their 2 big (really should be like 1.25 instead of 2) wins were against teams ranked 68 and 126 in rush D, both the dead bottom of the league.
UF is good but I'll be interested to see how they perform against a team that has even the slightest semblance of a rushing defense.

Auburn has played 3 power 5 teams, I think their rushing defense will probably end up ranked a bit higher than they are right now by the end of the year. They have some dudes on their interior of their DL and great linebackers.
This early into the season one really bad game can tank your ranking far below what it actually should be. Just like one good game can raise it on offense.
I think we are seeing the shape of general trends for sure, but the rankings themselves still need a few weeks of data before we can make broad conclusions.

SC is ranked 26 not because we are stopping the run, everyone’s figured out our secondary is non existent so might as well pass. Got a QB or WR you want to be in the Heisman conversation? Play us, we’ll make it happen.

It's tough getting use to a bend don't break style of defense, but I'm surprised we are as high as #24 honestly.
It feels like we are getting our asses kicked constantly, but the points are often missing.
I wonder what a stat that showed yards required by the opposing teams offense to score 1 point would look like.

Florida’s run game is gonna drop everyone’s rankings who play them.
