I dislike Bama and all, but I don't think you can necessarily blame the coach for what a player does on the weekend.

It’s a virtual certainty they will all be interviewed by both the prosecution and the defense.
Why you think they won’t be is far more interesting to me than the regular, routine happenings in a serious criminal case.

They’re going to be interviewed because they spent a lot of time with him. Both the prosecution and defense will be probing things like his state of mind, statements he had been making, anything they knew about his relationship with the victims, etc.
It’s a normal part of criminal investigations.
I’m equally amazed that both the OP and most all replies think it’s something unique to interview all close associates. It isn’t, it’s entry level investigation work.
