Please. Lots of business hotels out that way. The airport is nearby. It's stupid to stay on the edge of town when you work all over.
Contractors work in real buildings. Not strip malls, overpriced private schools, and plastic surgeon's offices. The burbs are just full of those. But I have worked in Green Hills, Franklin, Gallatin, etc. I've probably seen more if the place than you have. I know the guys in our office that live in town have.

I never moved away. And I probably never will. DeSoto was one of the 50 fastest growing counties in the US before the economy collapsed in 08. And it is back up and running again now. Best schools in the area. No crime. No traffic. Low taxes. Best place I've ever lived or stayed for any length of time, including Nashville and the burbs.
So laugh it up. I'll pay far less in taxes and prices for 75-80 percent of what Nashville has and be extremely happy exactly where I am. Enjoy hipster heaven.

Staying in hotels is another thing. And I work with contractors hand in hand so that comment made me chuckle. I can assure you that you haven't seen more than me there.
I went to high school in Nashville, college, and worked. I also lived all over.
And feel free to pay less taxes. Just remember that's for a reason. I can afford to live in Nashville and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
I turned down a Mississippi territory a few months back. pardon me for demanding a certain standard of living.
Eta Gallatin is pretty far from Nashville.

Also funny you call Nashville, of all places, hipster heaven. Maybe East nashville. But that's it.
It's known for country music for fricks sake

As a guy who listens to a little Newgrass and Alt Country, I can assure that the pop crap that comes out of Nashville hasn't been country for a long time. I only know a little about Country Music, but I do know that.

To each their own. I can most definitely afford to live there. I have a standing offer to move and join our Nashville branch. I choose not to because I don't want to. Not because I can't. This is just the kind of pretentiousness I started off talking about in the first place, so thank you for aptly illustrating it. I get an earful of it every time I'm in Nashville. It's not endearing.

As someone who listens to bluegrass as well as "real" country, I'll be the first to say that those country singers aren't "hipsters".
You're talking out of your arse.

Hey, you're the one acting like you're too good for Nashville.

I never said that Pop Country singers were hipsters, but whatever. You can't seem to understand anything that I don't spell out in big bold letters. You implied that Nashville is somehow impervious to hipsters because of Country Music. But be honest, there isn't a hell of a lot of real country left in Nashville. It is just Top 40 with a little twang. But there are a hell of a lot of hipsters flocking there in droves. There are plenty at the damn arena. But whatever. You are obviously Nashville's current ambassador to the Rant. I'm sure you know better.

They should just skip the BS and move it to Rupp.

Apparently it is nice enough for another NCAA sweet 16 and elite 8 this year.

Cal has enough of an edge already. He doesn't need any more of one.

I like this move. I think it adds to the aura of an SEC event to have it in the same location every year, and I think Nashville is a great choice for the basketball tourney. Somewhat centrally located, a fun city, and a solid venue.
If Auburn ever doesn't suck I'd consider a trip there.

ALL country music sucks. It's all just redneck noise. Why argue about it?

I think the only sites the West will ever get are St Louis, NO, and possibly Houston. Memphis may get the Women's again at some point. Wasn't at the Forum a few years ago?

Nashville is about to get a new baseball stadium, only a matter of time. I think it'll be in the downtown area overlooking the
Cumberland.
Cumberland.

Murfreesboro? I'm staying far away from MSTDU. That includes that entire town.
