Personally for me, it was beating Kansas last year in the tournament. I grew up as a KU fan and it was a huge win.

LSU greatest win all time in basketball:

Feb. 11 1978

LSU 95 Kentucky 94

With all five starters fouled out LSU beat number 1 Kentucky in overtime.

Kentucky would go on to win the NCAA title.

LSU would not make the NCAA tournament, field was very small in those days.

Macklin and Martin would lead LSU to the final four in 1981.

Not the greatest, but the most exciting.

US Reed's half court court shot to beat Louisville iin 1981.

For UK, in all seriousness, that really is a tough arse question. I dont know that I've ever actually considered it. I have my favorite wins that Ive witnessed, but none qould qualify as any of our greatest. Honestly I dont know what the answer is for UK.

One other one. A last second basket by Razorback Balentine to beat #1 North Carolina in 1984. (Pine Bluff of all places)

1971 vs. UNC. Beating them with a last second tip-in to win the ACC tournament in our last year in the conference. One last middle finger to those Tobacco Road fricks in NC.

That’s not a shabby win. You literally had to be a Final Four team to beat the ‘96 Cats.

I’ll also throw in a very different game. We boat raced UNC by 21 (wasn’t even that close) in the round of 32 a couple years back. They were a 2 seed.

Watched that game on TV with my dad. The following week we went to the game at the Summit in Houston where we barely lost to Louisville and Dr. Dunk. David Britton stepped on the inbound line throwing a pass in at a critical time of the game. Ags were probably 2nd best team in the nation that year.

Ahhh... memories.

I think you're talking about different UNC games. 21 point boat racing of UNC was in 2018 tournament.

You seem to be talking about Metcalf's run in 1980.

For Bama probably our comeback vs #1 Stanford in the round of 32.

That's #1 for me. UNC was 21-0 and had been ranked #1 in every poll that season. They had Jordan, Perkins and Daugherty, I think. It was the 3rd game for Arkansas in 5 days.

Another big one was when #4 Arkansas beat #2 UCLA in the 1977 NCAAT. We eventually lost to #1 Kentucky, but beat #6 Notre Dame for 3rd place. Notre Dame was the only other team to beat UCLA that year.

Correct. Think it was in overtime or double overtime but we won by something like 18- 20 points. Didn't bother to verify my memory...
