Florida, LSU and Alabama will win it again sooner than later. Almost assuerdly each will at the very least play for one the next 10 years.

UGA could also, AU may give it a run at some point but not consistently. Maybe just maybe Tennessee.

All the rest have no fricking shot. None.

Not if others hired a proven HC/recruiter.

Do we? We both play UF, Bama, and AU. The other teams in the SEC seem like a wash.

I didn't realize you were playing Alabama this year.

Every other year Georgia has a much easier path to the playoff than anyone from the west does.

And how has that worked out for them?

Not well. I suspect that has more to do with the man at the top of Georgia's program than it does their weaker division.

I think UT surprises folks this year. I don't think they win a title but winning the SEC east with a couple of losses ain't out of the realm of possibilities....they came on last year

Name the bar- it's on me tonight.

Either Bama or LSU.

And it will happen within three years.

I'd take you up on that but I'm 2500 miles from places where the governor has had enough sense to open up bars again!

Seriously though should be a lot of optimism in Knoxville.....as a Dawg fan that is not a pretty thing to contemplate but the evidence is pretty compelling...

I knew you'd catch hell for having us in the top tier, because that's what the board does these days, but you're pretty spot on. I'd go:

Tier 1
Bama/UGA

Tier 2
LSU/Florida

Tier 3
Auburn

Rest are irrelevant with zero chance.

Bama will be tier 1 until saban leaves, no way around that. I put UGA in tier 1 becuase the east is weaker and we have an absolute stranglehold on it. Essentially, to make the playoffs we have a 1-game playin in the SECCG every season.

Florida and LSU are in tier 2 for the primary reason of having tougher foes in their division. If LSU played in the east I'd probably put them in tier 1. Florida and LSU have the misofrutne of having to play bama/uga in the regular season which will more often than not knock them out of the SECC/playoff race.

AU is a tier on their own becaus ethey're in the same boat as LSU but not as good, plus gus.

The team that just won the whole thing and went 15-0 is in a league of their own until someone dethrones us.

Georgia is an obvious choice but Kirby appears to be headed directly towards Mark Richt territory.

Auburn has been to the NC game just as many times as LSU has the past 10 years.

It's wut I do

Too many people use their feels instead of logic. Sure disagree all day long, but justify it properly.

Aside of this (upcoming) season, you guys have a solid shot at it. UF will be highly ranked, Bama is obviously still the goliath and whoever slips up in the Bama/UGA game will be playing for their life.

Bear in mind, had Bama beat Aubbie last season, Bama would be in the playoff.

The same amount as LSU, and Auburn didn't get embarrassed 21-0 in the 1 they lost.
