Had a close one last year against Auburn but we won.

Last year against Auburn.

SEC Admits Ref Error in Auburn-Ole Miss Game

Perfect tweet summing up the whole situation:
quote:

Lane Kiffin: Replay blew it

SEC: Replay blew it

Also SEC: Here’s a $25,000 fine, Lane, for correctly pointing out we blew it.

The offside was a blown call. Changed the whole game

And they missed a false start on the same play. So it should have been nullified either way.

I agree, if Saban went on one of his rants about the officiating he would get fined, but the problem would be fixed

Here is our second to last one.

2017 Bama /MSU.

Ridley over runs the route out of bounds, side judge throws hat, Ridley comes back in, streaks down field, catches pass, still hatless side judge is there to mark it just short of endzone.

Final score 31-24. Same score for Alabama that Memphis had Saturday.

Its time to move to full-time officials. SEC officials make $5,000 per game and do 10 games per season with an opportunity to do postseason.

Would not change one single thing.

Making someone full time doesn't make them any more accountable. They could just as easily impose real accountability on the ones they've got now and achieve better results.

In fact, it would be MUCH easier to do so with part time/contract guys. Make them full time and the very first thing they'll do is unionize and make it virtually impossible to impose actual consequences for bad performace - see the NFL for exhibit A.

Worst call I’ve ever seen. There was no doubt the ball was downed and laid still plus a ref waved to stop the clock

And just for a final bow in this thread here is 2018 phantom block in the back. That calls back a score In Tuscaloosa. Doesn’t meet the score I know. But for consistency sake.

Took 7 off the board for MSU

Fumble that they ruled down after being recovered by MSU. No Review.

7 points on the board for Alabama.

Still waiting on the apology for the LSU/Bama Patrick Peterson interception because HE WAS IN.

no apologies but in a game where there are line judges involved in forward progress spotting there can be up to 200 or so yards of damage to one team or "help" to their selected beneficiary who is apparently helping them out with their bills for a while.

2009 Arkansas Florida game

the biggest pile of bullshite I've ever seen

The refs in that game made me mad, and I was a neutral fan. I'm still convinced the fix was in to screw Arkansas.

Not even the NFL has full-time officials.

I'll bet you don't even know the one crew Alabama never gets, and why.
