10-3 season - would’ve gone to the SEC title game if not for post season ban. Beat LSU 31-0 in Tiger Stadium. Beat Tennessee 34-14 in Neyland. Played a hell of a game in Norman and could’ve easily beat OU. The Auburn game was ugly but I think most Bama fans believe Fran had one foot out the door at that point.
When I was a little kid in 2002 I thought that was as bad as it could ever get for Tennessee. I guess I wasn’t very imaginative

Define "willingly" lol

Bill Curry was run off to Kentucky. Dude was having bricks thrown through his office window.

Fran ran because probation hit...penalties supposedly harsher than he was told they would be.

As far as Bama, Wallace Wade leaving for Duke in 1930 is the only one that really fits the criteria.

Modern times the 2 obvious ones have been said...Jimbo to A&M and Kelly to LSU.

Jimbo and Kelly but add Kiffin to the list until proven otherwise. Kelly at least won 10 games in each of his first 2 years at LSU after taking over a shite show of a program. LSU was 6-6 the year before Kelly took over. Now LSU went 7-5 and ask LSU fans to commit to Kiffin winning 10 games in his first 2 seasons like Kelly did and LSU fans wont do it....its funny as shite. They say Kiffin is their savior but wont say he will do better than Kelly in his first 2 years.....

Kemon Spell...the nation's #1 running back for 2027 lists his 5 teams he will play for. That is Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, USC and Miami........I dont see LSU anywhere on that list and they recruit better than Notre Dame?... ?

He wouldn't start at LSU anyway. LSU is set at RB. If you're basing it on one recruit. LSU just signed the #1 player in the country. I wish Kemon luck at ND.

Like I said, just depends on what you value.

If a coach wants to be associated with history and a great brand, then he should go to Notre Dame.

If he wants to win a natty, he should go to LSU.

That's not all the catholics will have you associated with. LMAO

That counts as a win on their record right?
