Cig has learned from Saban. His team is disciplined and tough.
The transfer portal has helped him and Billionaire Mark Cuban is helping with NIL. If the transfer portal rules of sitting 1 year still existed than he wouldn't be where he is now but still close. It be hard for him to beat Oregon twice. Lanning will have his team ready. But I can see them winning the Natty.

That's my thought. When you have a veteran team with some special players on it, you can do some great things. The question is whether or not that success can be sustained long-term

Be honest though. We said the exact same thing about Indiana at the end of last year. If see where you’re coming from, but I’m never doubting Cignetti again.

How you know a team is good, when everyone is talking about how bad they'll be . . . next year.

Cignetti has a great resume. I don't doubt that he's a good coach, but he's got a special group of players right now with skill and experience. It will be good to see how he continues that going forward.

Current landscape is all about $$$$. I wouldn't discount the Mark Cuban $$$ influence as much as cignetti. Same with Texas Tech they didn't come out of nowhere they spent a lot of money on NiL. The new landscape is who has the biggest purse strings and who can do the best at managing and getting the most out of their NiL dollars.

Someone mentioned it earlier, but K-State under Bill Snyder. Not nearly to this extent but it is similar. Total doormat becoming a power out of nowhere.

I don’t know but it has me wondering if a lot of other teams are going to say if Indiana can do this why can’t we? That could mean an explosion of money into other programs. Tulane and Houston, Northwestern are all in areas with plenty of talent. Can they do this too?
