I have one for you. Bob Tyler, long time high school coach at Meridian was hired by Johnny Vaught in the late 60s as an assistant coach. When Vaught had his heart issues, he recommended Tyler as his successor. OM went in a different direction. MSU hired Tyler as HC in 73. His son Breck signed with State. When we fired Bob, Breck transferred to Ole Miss.

Brett Tyler had his leg broken, so it just hung there; compound fracture, in the 1982 Egg Bowl.

For LSU
Alan Faneca
Just hearing his name seems like a guy that you would have thought played at Nebraska or Michigan or some big 10 school

quote:He was the original "scrambling" quarterback in the NFL. Don't remember which opposing NFL coach said but his quote (paraphrased I'm sure): "If you want a 3rd and 38, Tarkenton is your guy". Kind of had a noodle arm but he was quite successful in making plays but he did take tons of losses.
I don't even know who Fran Tarkenton is.
