I’m not saying this necessarily is relevant to Saban but for the most part football coaches are not smart outside of football. I believe most people if they used all of their energy and effort in being a football coach could do it.

that's true.
I think Tom Petty was great musician but he seemed really dumb in interviews. That might have been result of drug abuse though.
My twin brother doesn't talk a lot of trash so I was shocked when he said Saban, perhaps the GOAT college fball coach, seems dumb as shite.
