All of the LSU fans that know Saban personally, is this (getting to know him) something that happens for all fans as he coaches a couple of years or just a select few? I would really like to get to know the guy and let him know we are not all crazy. I ask because there are a lot of you that know for a fact he is unhappy. Like one of your own said, when he smiled after raising the trophy he seemed to be thinking about the guy he had to go see the following week for recruiting. The guy is and will always be all about the job.
For the one that said he was a failure in the NFL, so was Spurrier, Carrol, Stallings, Petrino...need I go further. Some people are just better in college. Some are better in the NFL, Pitt's coach Wandstedt(sp?) and Weis come to mind.
Mike Price never won 10 games at Bama. I stand corrected. He is "Rollin'" at UTEP though.

Nothing better than a bunch of Gumps in denial. The implosion would be priceless because they all think there is no way it would EVER happen to their glorious program.
The Meyer stuff probably has to do with some of the rumors floating around since Saban started recruiting there. The stuff about the Red Elephants, car dealers in South Alabama, etc. is exactly the kind of thing that nearly sunk Bama before and the stuff that a coach cannot control.

They brag about the 10+ win seasons that they're coaches have had, but why do they all run away from there. Remember Franchione? He just had a 10+ win season and said Adios to them.
Bill Curry had bricks thrown at his house when he finished 10-2.

Sorry about that. Forgot about Wisconsin. Mich St. ended up 10-2 and #7 in the country. Yes facts do matter to me.
