The NCAA does not count forfeited games or wins resulting from a forfeit when determining a team's won-lost record for bowl eligibility.

Bowl Eligibility Rules

The Official Rule: According to NCAA bylaws, "Ties or forfeited games do not count in determining won-lost record" for postseason selection.

Actual Results on the Field: Eligibility is based strictly on games actually won or lost against live competition on the field (with specific limits on wins against lower-tier FCS opponents).

Forfeits vs. Vacated Wins: A team that receives a victory via an opponent's administrative forfeit cannot add that win to its bowl tally. Conversely, if a team is forced to vacate wins due to past rule infractions, those games are completely erased from their historical record, though on-field results sometimes affect immediate eligibility differently depending on how the NCAA applies corrective penalties.

I just point this out for the sake of our LSU brethren who are already celebrating their undefeated season if the SEC collectively refuses to play them. If the SEC decided to pull a page from the Big 12’s playbook LSU would finish with an official 2-1 or 3-0 record and thus be ineligible for post season play.

You will still have to sit there in front of your tv watching LSU beat the piss out of Alabama for 4 hours in November.

"There's a lot of parts of this I don't like. I don't think professionals should come back to college sports and college football. Do I believe NFL players should come back to college? No. However, I will operate at the highest level within the rules to give LSU the most competitive advantage as possible. As are many other major programs. When the rules and laws change, we will operate at the highest level at that time within the rules."

This whole post is about the SEC collectively refusing to play LSU. And the very first reply from an LSU fan is about how the game will play out. Society has become much too protective when people who are this stupid are able to survive to adulthood.

Kiffin is a PoS. The only loser to be fired from his dream job on the tarmac. Then a cheating philanderer on top of that. Does he have a moral bone in his body? Does he have a conscience? Doesn’t appear so

Alabama football is dead if they refuse to play LSU. Agree?

Especially if it’s because Dae’quan Wright is dressed out as TE2.

DeBoer’s bama is charmin soft.
