I posted East and West numbers. Not Kirby numbers.
I used the data that he put together and presented in the thread.

The records are worse when you add Bama and UGA as Bama has only lost once in over 10 years to an East team. Tennessee las year while UGA has many loses to the West.
Ole miss, Auburn, LSU , and Bama.
UGA has as many losses to the West as they do to the East. If you count the post season they have more losses to the West than the East on way fewer games.
Pretending link the East and West have been even is ridiculous.
It doesn't cheapen what UGA has done, but proper context is needed.

THIS. I was actually being kind to Georgia and the SEC East by not including Alabama and Georgia games because it gets even worse for the East when those are added in.
Alabama has 13 total losses since the end of the 2013 season and only 2 of those losses came against SEC East opponents while 7 of those losses came against SEC West opponents
It's a stretch of monumental proportions to try to make the argument that playing all the teams in the SEC East each season is as challenging as playing all the teams in the SEC West each season.

Just because LSU, Ole Miss, and A&M are slightly better teams than Missouri, Tennessee, and Kentucky in no way means Georgia is less of an elite team. It all comes out in the wash because we’ve beaten the best team the west has to offer in each of the last 2 seasons. Additionally, 15 of those 41 wins since 2021 have been ranked teams.
There is no “proper context” that can be added to in any way, shape, or form frame going 41-1 as anything less than an amazing accomplishment.

Dude LSU and Bama have molly whopped UGa multiple times in the regular and post season.
2017. UGA 2 losses to the West 0 to the East
2018 UGA 2 losses to the West 0 to East
2019 UGA 1 loss to West 1 loss to East
2020 UGA 1 loss to the West 1 loss to East
2021 UGA 1 lost to the West 0 to the East
2022 undefeated.
2023 1 loss to the West.
2022 was a LSU 2pt conversion against Bama or there would have been another loss to the West.

Napier will be gone after next year.
Fla needs a Lane Kiffen type coach.
They really improved a lot towards the end of the season.
Kirby came to Ga at the right time
Congrats on your success!
Don’t forget 1998 was still the best year ever!!

If you exclude cross divisional games played by both Alabama and Georgia from 2014 till now the SEC West has dominated the SEC East most years.
The SEC East has only one winning record against the West (2018) during that time: Here are the SEC West's records (excluding Alabama and Georgia games) against the East during that time:
2014 - 8-2
2015 - 10-1
2016 - 6-4
2017 - 8-2
2018 - 2-8
2019 - 5-5
2020 - 13-6
2021 - 8-2
2022 - 5-5
2023 - 6-4
No way to sugarcoat it. The SEC East has been a weak sauce division since 2010
No, trust me guys, the SEC East is basically the same as the SEC West. This is an essential myth I need to hoist up so I can feel big and strong about going 12-0 3 straight years while playing SEC competition.

The idea of the SEC West being so powerful and wonderful is largely a myth.
Has not always been the case. The divisions (well not after this year) were approaching parity. But to give credit where it is due the West used to be a bad MFer.

It’s been even the last two years according to his stats

I molly whopped your wife last night, and she enjoyed it. Better stay off of football forums you Comode-door peasant and start taking care of business at home or she'll return to me, and I shall taunt you a second tim-ah.

Hey guys, this isn't an East vs West debate. The only reason I even brought it up is because this website is abundantly West-centric and I knew it would immediately come up if I didn't, so in order to head this off at the pass, I acknowledged that the West has been better overall. There are some seasons that the East is better, but it doesn't matter imo.
What Kirby has done is fantastic and I thought it needed recognizing. Just how great is debatable, but nevertheless, still great.
