Well someone had to go and find the links for y'all and you could've googled it yourself, I hope you're proud.

No one had to find the links for me; I wasn't even part of that original conversation.

I was simply pointing out what a miserable poster you are.

A&M fans thinking they are going to get Muschamp
It's only between Auburn and South Carolina. I forgot A&M even offered him

Pay attention. This is how it should be done.

Coaching. HC-ing wise Spurrier >>>>> Muschamp. But of course you don't want to hear that because he is going to be your HC.

Stop being so butthurt, this is just a message board and there are no official deals signed either way.

Sexton, Muschamp's agent, is FAMOUS for leaking stuff through reporters in order to get his client more $$$.

Take it for what it's worth.
This X 10000000

Every last bit of this Muschamp crap reeks of SEXTON.

Who said he's going to be our HC? That's all just speculation on a message board post from another site? dayum, that post has rustled some jimmies.

Muschamp recruited two 5*'s, and six 4*'s his last HCIW year in TX, it really doesn't matter as much as you think it does.
Did you not read the link on when those restrictions went into place? Or are you just going to put your fingers in your ears and act like they won't have any effect on recruiting?

Great recruiters find a way, they make things work. Byron Cowart was even quoted as saying he wants to see where Muschamp ends up. Who knows, if he comes to SC, maybe we'll get a look. Do you think every HC or HCIW out there follows those recruiting rules to the letter, every time, all the time?

Given that AU and TAMU run HUNH offenses and this can hurt your defense and given Phil's relationship with OBC why is USCe such a strange concept to imagine?

So out of all this, I'm guessing you didn't realize the restrictions went into place after 2010 NSD.

That's all you had to say.

South Carolina can also offer one more thing over TAMU: it's not in college station Texas.

I wondered if I was the only one who remembered this thread's original title.

To me, it isn't. The deal makes a lot of sense.

I just don't understand why USCe would limit it's coaching options so drastically by naming Boom HCIW.

Yeah, the HCIW thing is the only reason I can see WM choosing SCAR over the others, and I don't think it's a particularly awesome deal for either party.

Definitely not sure why SCAR would want to give the HCIW spot to a failed defensive HC in an increasingly offense-focused league?

Why would we sit with a lame duck coach for 3 years? How is that going to impact recruiting? How is that going to impact staff retention?

The HCIW plan is legit b/c it's a continuity plan, but this has a huge upside in that he can come in immediately and fix the defense.

It's not a strange concept at all, considering how many DC's have been hit the skids at AU in the last 6 yrs.

Probably b/c Muschamp coached in that developing offensive league and still had elite defenses...I would imagine. Plus his 15 year track record for defense is on the elite collegiate level as well. It's not like we couldn't find someone to even come in and run the HUNH if we wanted to. Plus we don't run the HUNH and our offense has been good.

I'm not sure what Chizik's time at Auburn has to do with hiring this year, but sure.

Why not go back even further and include Paul Rhoads, Will Muschamp, David Gibbs, Gene Chizik, & John Lovett?

oh yeah, he's going to love all this. What's going to be crazy is if Muschamp makes at or even more money than he would've if he stayed on at florida (with the buyout and his new job combined.)
