If we go by that logic then we can say Tennessee winning the regular season in national baseball record wise trumps winning the CWS.

You can't have it both ways.

This is why college football pre playoff era was special. Every game was vital. Still is to a degree but not as much.

Last year in the nation's best conference working with very little told me much more important info about Heupel than multiple years at that shite hole in Orlando.

Also, young head coaches tend to either improve or degrade after their first few years.

No one thought Saban was that special until he landed at LSU where he could recruit the kind of talent / players he wanted and then ofcourse Bama as well.

Are you really going to use UCF as a measuring stick? Obviously no coach can pull in top or even good talent there.

UCF might have had the most talent in their conference

Your team was good last year but we saw who they really were against a healthy Bama in the SECCG.

Any elite passing team that is in rythm is going to put up tonnes of yards and points on you this year.

Uga was extremely good last year, and one fluke game doesn’t change that.

He went .500 in conference and recruited for shite. 0 5 stars and only 7 4 stars.

The recruiting you are talking about is a single 5 star QB on next years class - and you had to pay stupid amounts of money to get him. You do understand this guy won't play until 2023 right?

As for Saban, you're an idiot if that is what you think. He started at Toledo(6-5 the year prior) where they went 9-2 and were a much improved team. Got hired away to the NFL. Took over a Michigan St team that had to forfeit it's previous season due to sanctions, and within 4 years had them beating #1 teams. Which is why LSU hired him.

Saban improved every single program he coached at.

If you take Heupel's record at UCF and reversed the years, then that is what you want to see.

We just need a top 50 level defense to be good and top 30 to be really freakin good.

No reason to expect that kind of improvement. A lack of talent and an O that puts pressure on its own d.

Comparing Tennessee to Alabama?

Tennessee has exactly zero offensive players that would have started for Alabama this past season, which very seriously undermines that comparison.

Which has nothing to do with the fact that Auburn won the SEC in basketball. I know this whole basketball thing is new for y'all but the "regular season" champion is the conference champion. They get the hardware.

Ask Skip Bertman how important SEC titles are.

You are silly if you don't believe we will be elite passing the ball. Hooker is a Heisman candidate for good reason and we have big time production and talent at WR position.

You had that last year.
You had that in 2012.
