Dan Mullen hired Jimmy Sexton last year. Sexton needs to make himself some money. Clearly he's the source.

Doesn't he try to "milk" MSU every year?

Why would he make a lateral move? I don't disagree that he's not going to get any higher with state, but I don't see ATM as a move up.

That's a much different title than OP's.

The article Dennis Dodd wrote last week explained how OlMiss is going to be fine with the NCAA, and that this has all been a big misunderstanding caused by the lout Mullen and his flunky players.

tl;dr Dennis Dodd is a douchenozzle

I think aTm is a step up from State just because of their resources, but I don't see any way Mullen takes that job.

Especially not with Florida possibly opening up in a year or two.

Oh lawd, I fear you opened a can of worms here. 'Sleeping giants' and 'potential' comments incoming.

If your athletic department is so blindingly inept that they are discussing short list 3 games into the season with the media Mullen is beyond your reach, he is not going anywhere close to a clown show like that.

You know every year I say, "No way Mullen sticks around if he gets a big offer," and every year he stays at State. I think he's looking for the right job, I'm not sure what it is but I don't think he's gotten any big SEC offers.

I do have a good idea for a hire tho- Bret B. Aggies never lose when he's on the sidelines.

Umm. That article does not say specifically that Mullen IS on any short list.

You might as well said it's raining and then link a weather forecast that says chance of rain.

This sounds like Herman last year where he drummed up interest from LSU to leverage his real target job

Texas AM isn't a dream job. They barely are a SEC job. Lateral move at best

He has. I think he only will leave if the NFL offers. But he honestly loves State
