Agree ,PS was even a better person then HC.
I worked with the LVs at one point and got to attend closed practices. I can def. confirm this. She is someone I would've gladly walked through fire for - anyone who ever met her would - because you knew instantly she'd have done the same for you.
Our world was less when we lost her and I don't mean just WBB or even basketball. She was just one of those very special people that we are blessed to have in our lives.

Mulkey, herself, would disagree whole heartedly.
One reason why she would probably disagree. I couldn't imagine Mulkey being disrespectful of her Olympic Coach.

They only have 19 team NCs in their entire history, so it makes sense no matter how you say it.

Indeed.
You've got Aureima/Summit, of which these two vaulted WBB to a new level. Their games heads' up are legendary.
Mulkey is top five, the landscape's changed with transfers and NIL, time will tell.
But everyone knew Geno and Pat. All you had to say.

Mulkey is definitely behind Summit and Geno as a coach but she is gaining ground. She also has a damn strong argument for greatest player ever. She could very well end up as the GOAT coach and GOAT player.

Summitt was a trailblazer, but her teams essentially faced intramural squads every year in the tournament.
I seem to remember Summit beating some pretty good LSU teams with Simone Augustus and Sylvia Fowles for example. Her coaching career accomplishments are better than Mulkey’s at this point. Mulkey might catch up. I hope she does.

give summitt this transfer portal, the vols would win a championship every other year minimum

Nope.

She would never.
I’ve heard Mulkey speak of Summitt once or twice, and it was nothing but love, respect, humility, and admiration for her, her accomplishments, and her many contributions to the game.

This. Be proud of your women and your coach but no reason to try and take down a legend.
No one is trying to downgrade what Summitt did. She was elite against a rec league schedule.

Log off Stephen, you are being too stupid again.

“The University of Tennessee has garnered 23 team national championships all-time, including eight in women's basketball, six in football and a combined seven championships in track & field. Vols and Lady Vols have captured 175 individual/relay national titles“
UGA 17 national championships (equestrian, gymnastics, and tennis are a club sport and excluded).

Uh, no.
At best Mulkey is 3rd, behind Summitt and Geno.

Speaking of claiming beer league championships… retroactively claiming titles for Neyland during the leather helmet era is sad. You’re not Texas A&M. Be better.
