In addition to multiple titles, Mulkey won championships at two programs, and in an era of unparalleled parity. Summitt was a trailblazer, but her teams essentially faced intramural squads every year in the tournament.
Given UT’s lack of athletic success in the last 50 years, I get why they try and prop Summitt up as the greatest, but Mulkey’s accomplishments are far more impressive.

Growing up in the 90's/2000's there were very few womens basketball names I knew.
Pat Summitt was the biggest. I knew she was amazing.
Lisa Leslie was the player I knew the best followed by Dawn. Outside of those names I wouldnt have known anyone until Taursie. So I will still have Pat as the GOAT. Genos title speaks for itself. Mulkey getting a 4th is a big deal. I didnt expect it to happen

Basketball coaches and players whether male or female, all come together around Pat Summitt. Doc Rivers was nearly in tears when her retirement was announced to the world. He addressed it in a Celtics presser.

Uncalled for. Summit coached for 38 years. . KM been HC for 23 at this point. PS was a great motivator. Proved she was great coach when she passed nobody could step in with same taken and win shite.
