I believe Leach had some seasons at TT and Wazzou where his teams were favored.
He doesn’t get his teams ready for rivalry games. They are a different breed. The Egg Bowl is an amped-up version of his other rivalries, and Leach doesn’t change.

We aren't even thinking about the Battle for the Golden Egg. Right now, we are thinking and focusing on Auburn. Next week we focus on the Magnolia Bowl. One week at a time, as it should be.
I agree with this. Both MS schools have stepped it up and both fanbases should be proud. I don't understand why State fans aren't filling up your stadium for big SEC games though. They need to get behind your team.

We did have a bigger crowd for Arkansas although is was just under 59K.
I think a lot of MSU fans were like "wtf" after the LSU game. A lot has changed since then in starting players and they are slowly coming back. It was an 11:00 am game.

Honestly I’m more nervous that if Ole Miss ruins MSU’s expectations in the Egg Bowl again, the obsessed portion of State’s fan base will go full nuclear SnitchU and try to destroy both of our programs like last time.
MSU players lying to NCAA, corrupt Tupelo lawyers, FOIA’s, MSU BB mods running around Oxford with cameras hoping for a book sequel…you know, the usual.
NIL changes that somewhat and the NCAA has been detoothed to some degree, but never underestimate the obsessed.
Y’all need to keep them in check this time. Took us both 8 seasons to recover.

Dastardly State fans hiring Ginny Crager in Waynesboro, MS to cheat on the ACT for OM recruits from all over the South.
P.S. Who was GC's first known OM pupil in Waynesboro? Jerrell Powe. The NCAA could have gone back farther than 2013 and found another 8-9 years of multiple ACT infractions. That had to be State fans playing the long con.
