that argument is so stupid. What if we went to the big east and finished 8th there? Would that be ok?

i put 8 out there because of the sec tourney. theres no specific number, but i sure as hell understand why lsu didnt make it.

Didn't MSU finish 5th in the SEC West in football and then dominate Michigan in the bowl game to finsih top 20? If it's the best conference in America, then our lower-tier teams are better than others top teams. Are there truly 64 better teams in the country than LSU. John Cohen says hell no!

MSU deserved to be in.
We had 13 wins against the top 50 (LSU had 11). MSU performed much better in SEC play than LSU did - period. Plus we didn't get to play UK like LSU did (LSU didn't have to play USC).
LSU racked up nearly half of its SEC wins against the worse 2 teams in the conference. LSU's RPI is only .004 points higher than MSU's.
When you look at the full resume, MSU clearly has a stronger case. That's why we made it.
Now I will say I would have taken LSU over St Johns.

LSU just didn't get it done against the good teams in the SEC.
LSU against:
UF - 0-3
Ark - 0-3
Vandy - 0-3
UGA - 1-2
Didn't play USC, so you went 1-11 against the ranked SEC teams this year.
MSU went:
Vandy - 1-2
UF - 1-2
USC - 1-2
UGA - 0-3
Ark - 1-2
That's 4-11. Us savings a game a series against the best teams in the conference ultimately put us in over you.
So, we only won one extra SEC game, but we didn't get the luxury of playing UK for a couple wins like LSU did. The selection committee saw through it. I'll get back with you on our TV times so you can watch us

Hey Stratdawg. I am as big a Tiger fan out there, but you are right. You guys deserve it more. You make a good analysis and Im sure that is what bumped us out, I dont think MSU was picked over us as much as Georgia. Most wise LSU fans knew that when Georgia went above .500, they were in over us. Anyway, best of luck , I hope you Bulldogs make some waves in the regionals.

Thank man- LSU got screwed over- but not by State getting in. Some of the other teams that got in over LSU shouldnt have. You guys will be back next season I'm sure. Manieri does a good job

Thanks and ditto. LSU deserved to be in, but MSU didn't cost yall a bid. I have no idea how they put St Johns in over you guys.
The Jones kid at 2nd base is going to be a star. I would gladly let you guys go to a regional this year, if it meant he'd transfer to MSU - haha.
