So truly the heading should have said " Thanks to LSU, and Ole Miss, State wins the SEC. Better yet, they should put all 13 schools.

A big story of the weekend was how the even the crazy of the crazy MSU fans were cheering for OM to win. Something that rarely happens. Your own SID tweeted out "Thanks OM". I get why yall are upset, but damn if it isnt over the top as always if it has anything to do with the rivalry. The headline was an accurate description of weekend, and how yall are worked up over it when yall should be ecstatic that yall won a title in your favorite sport is as typical MSU as it gets.

Honestly, it doesn't bother me. I just like to talk shyte and cause chaos. Hell, I wanted Ole Miss to win one. I thought Thursday would be your best chance and when that didn't happen, I knew A&M was going to sweep and we will be sharing which I don't like.

To be fair, what ole miss did was irrelevant in this case, as all State had to do was win to at least be co-champion. The ole miss win helped state win the outright championship. Really, it was more aTm failing in the clutch though, than ole miss winning.....

It's all fine to me though, as I'm enjoying yet another championship and giving local aggies are hard time (they are pretty easy to rile up).

Ole Miss directly impacted the SEC title by winning as did LSU. But there are more Ole Miss fans in their audience than LSU fans so they just left them out of the headline. Not saying it was a good headline or anything because it wasn't. But the outrage from State fans was unnecessary IMO

So co-championship is equal to outright champions to you? Well hell, we actually did win the west in 2003

It is almost as if they are trying to appeal to two different fan bases at the same time.

I said, "at least".

Clearly, being the outright Champion is preferred. That's why I'm glad aTm choked in the end. It's more of an aggie loss than an ole miss win

Bottom line: State is the outright SEC baseball champs.

Now we need a nice run to Omaha, but it's baseball, so anything can happen.

All 14 teams impacted. Arkansas 7 wins and 23 losses impacted the conference.

I thought they passed the buck if you ask me. For those outside of Mississippi, our states largest news paper that was owned by an Ole Miss fan and now run by one has been as biased a paper there is.

Two of their journalist made a video a while back mocking MSU. Now we win the SEC championship and the paper tweets we won the west with help from Ole Miss.

The only good story about MSU winning the SEC was chopped up, found on page 4 in the sports section with the front page talking horse racing. Can you imagine the advocate in Baton Rouge doing that? Could you imagine Alabama's largest paper pulling that?

So the Clarion Ledger appologizes publicly after outrage and says someone on their staff "got cute."

OM fans tell us the bias is all in our heads. If Ole Miss had won the title there would have been 15 stories on every page. This is why there is little discussion about the Ncaa investigation into OM in that paper. They splash MSU all over the paper when we do something wrong but said "They are too busy" when given outside info about cheating from other journalist. That appology passed the buck blaming a "design team" in Nashville, TN was laughable.

God this is sooooo Auburnish.

I don't Aggie fans ever expected to sweep Ole Miss in the first place.

Ole Miss has a good team and we expected to win the series, but not sweep.

I don't see how they can spin this that Ole Miss "helped" MSU. If Ole Miss went to College Station and won the series, they might have a point.
