Comically bad on offense, but I like the coach. He has them playing hard on defense.

State was one shooter away from being 13-5 in the SEC and being the 6 seed waiting on the winner of this game. Five conference games lost by one possession including at Alabama.

My guess is that it's to spread the pain of "the last four in" equally between the Power 5 conference at-large bids and the auto bids from conferences that would otherwise never get in. Also it allows more Power 5 at larges to play in the tourney.

We are one of the worst shooting teams in America. I’m not talking about 12 ft jumpers or 3’s…we constantly miss layups. What Jans did with this garbage team is shocking. He’s a keeper. We need to maintain the defense and pick up 2 or 3 shooters and we are a sweet 16 team.
