It's Mullen's fault that he hasn't recruited a QB that fits his system. In 2014, if Prescott is as advertised, it should make our Offense harder to defend.

Mullen is averaging 8 wins per season the last 3 years- and has gone 4-4 in the SEC twice.

Yes, he has by using cupcakes as a crutch. like NGT said, its smoke and mirrors. He has given yall some hopes and reignited the fanbase after the Croom colaspe, but yall would be better off with a better coach. He is a great stepping stone from the previous. If he gets to 7 wins this year with an actual schedule, I will change my tune. But as the 8-ball says, "outlook not so good"

Only Alabama and LSU are currently doing this in the West. A lot of programs going to be firing a ton of coaches in the future.

1. Well, we have our entire OL back
2. We have a talented 2-deep on the DL plus Chris Jones coming in- they have to perform this year
3. We are very good at LB, TE, and RB
4. We have a solid QB
5. We have a talented but inexperienced Secondary and WR corp

I'm excited and curious as well to see how it all turns out.

I think Mullen will stay put for atleast another 4 years. As Coonass said earlier going 8-5,9-4, and 7-6 gets you a contract extension at State. Question, this is not a flame I just want your opinions on it. If Mullen were to finish 6-6 or better over the next 4 years but go 0-4 against Ole Miss, would that be enough to put him on the curb?

Over the last 4 years, who in the West has averaged 7-9 wins without counting non-bcs opponents?

Mullen would be gone. Ole Miss is a comparable program athletically. There would be no excuse going 0-4.

Nope. OM worst case scenario will have 6 wins and MSU will most likely have only 4. Plus, OM has 3 home games in a row against Ark, Troy, and Mizzou and MSU is @ SC, A&M, Bama (Starkville) and @ Ark, on top of only having 5 days to prepare since the Egg Bowl is on Thanksgiving.

Will you guys be down on Freeze when he loses to Mullen in Starkville this year?

Depends on how the rest of the season goes. I don't base my judgement about a coach on one particular game

Honestly No ... of course we will be upset because I really think it's a game we should win given what we are bring back ... but down on him, NO.

That is dumb to say. It's not like they play in Starkville every year.

But they play there NEXT year -- which is what the original reply was about.

What was dumb again?
