At this point just sell Louisiana back to France. We’ll take some wine and the rodent from Ratatouille for the whole state.

it is surprising someone from Milsaps would choose to go to Southern regardless of race unless that is the best they could do.
If he wanted to practice law in Louisiana, then going to law school in Louisiana is the preferable route because of Napoleonic Law aspects not taught in other states (our system of Civil law is different).

Yes someone from Milsaps would go to Loyola, Tulane, or LSU law schools which still leaves open that it is surprising someone from Milsaps could not get into them. If he did get into them I would like to find out his reasoning for going to Southern law from Milsaps. Maybe Milsaps has dropped in reputation since I knew people going there, but even if it did I don’t know exactly when drop occurred or when this Judge went there.

Without knowing if he had any connections to Louisiana before Southern Law or if he specifically always wanted to practice in Louisiana your point is just a hypothetical leaving open the many additional law schools outside of Louisiana someone from Milsaps would choose before Southern.

quote:

There are many reasons he could have had for going to Southern, majority having nothing to do with intelligence or ability deficiency.
Unless he grew up in Louisiana or went to Southern before Milsaps there aren’t that many neutral or positive reasons someone would go to a private university like Milsaps in another state and then choose Southern over other law schools.

Just because he's black it doesn't mean he's stupid or unqualified. You should take a break for a bit and calm yourself before you post something that gets you banned.
Please show me where I said he is stupid or unqualified just because he is black. I have been pushing him going to Milsaps as a positive and having higher expectations of where a graduate from there would go to law school. Quit playing the race card and having such low expectations of blacks to point of thinking that blacks can’t do better than Southern. Just an awful way for you to go about life. You need to calm down before you post more inflammatory and made up claims about someone that gets you banned…

You also obviously didn’t read the post I made in this thread that mentioned white LSU students (and from elsewhere) going to Southern Law because they couldn’t get into LSU like Helmet. Though maybe Helmet was just trying to look for her “lost” black kid…

Oh wait, you responded to the post where I mentioned white lsu graduates going to Southern and still played the race card.

Part of the post you responded to which was a reply to another poster saying Southern graduates can be biased against LSU.
quote:

Including the ones who just go to Southern Law?? There are always white LSU graduates (and from other schools) who could not get into LSU law like helmet attending Southern Law.

The judge in the NFL case is a Southern law grad

I didn’t realize the NFL was involved in the case and what does where the Judge graduated from have anything to do with it.

I wonder if Lane anticipated LSU being enjoined to the injunction. Puts him in a tough spot now where he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Clock is ticking, and he has no off ramp yet.

This is part of the issue. They thought he would have an offramp, and he doesn’t.

Her has two options and regardless of which one he chooses LSU will get penalized.

The NFL is at the center of the case. That is what this whole debacle is about.

Seems you are inferring that this could have influenced his judgement.

I am. I am aware of how politics work. Not saying it did happen. And we won’t know until he files his annual campaign contribution report in February. I am saying that people regularly make campaign contributions hoping to influence a candidate.
