Ben Joyce

Has been called up to the MLB after pitching in only 24 games with AA Rocket City Trash Pandas.

I think he may be the 1st player from last years draft class to the Big Leagues already. It’s only a matter of time before Drew Gilbert is called up. Makes me sick to think how much talent UT had last year to only have sn early exit like they had.

Not even the first guy in his own organization. Neto from Campbell came up a month or so ago.

The Angels are being absurdly aggressive with this being Ohtani's walk year.

I wasn’t for sure, that’s why I said “I think”. Last Vol I remember getting called up quicker was Garrett Crochet. Crochet drafted in the 2020 draft, then made his debut with White Sox September 2020.

That’s awesome.

Would be cool if there was a list of every SEC guy that’s been called up this year

He certainly fits the mold of an early call up. Elite bullpen arm with strikeout stuff.

Looking forward to seeing how he does.

He never had control issues. What are you talking about?
2021 at UT had 53 strikeouts to 14 walks, that’s 3.79 K’a to walk ratio with an 2.23 ERA 27 games.

Seems like talent like that would be national champions.

Neto and Joyce are the only 2 players so far from the 22 draft class to make MLB debut.

That dude has walked 13 in only 15 innings. Major leaguers will punish that kind of terrible command.
