The new Clint Eastwood movie, Trouble with the Curve, has multiple scenes filmed in downtown Athens, but not on campus (one on a street, one in The Globe-bar one block from North Campus)
I know not exactly what we're looking for, but thought I would mention it

I like: Forrest Gump, The Pistol, Big Fish, Road Trip, The Blind Side, Ocean's 11, The Ladykillers, A Time to Kill, The Program, Borat, The Junction Boys.

At the beginning of my biggest guilty pleasure movie, The Rundown, the Rock is trying to retrieve a Super Bowl ring from an NFL MVP QB from MSU.

The loose narrative structure is anchored by John's breakup with his girlfriend Laura (Hina Abdullah). The four dudes party, eat sandwiches, and repeatedly ignore their scholastic responsibilities.
A review on film blog, Row Three, provides an analysis and review of the film, giving it 4 out of 5 stars and calling it, "a witty and funny story that exceeds expectations."
During the film's engagement at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago, Time Out Chicago gave the film 3 stars and said it, "plays like a cross between Richard Linklater’s Slacker and TV’s Seinfeld."

Actually, the kid in The Toy wears an LSU hat during a 10 minute segment. I would consider that referencing LSU.

If A&M's image and likeness was NOT parodied by the fictitious Texas State University in Necessary Roughness, it sure the frick came close, right down to our over-the-top, obsessive hatred for the other state school, "the #1 Texas Colts" (fricking longhorns), and our SERIOUS NCAA problems.

His father was the Dean of Education at LSU. Soderbergh later went on to direct Traffic, Ocean 11, 12, & 13, Erin Brockovich, The Informant, Solaris, and Contagion.

Necessary Roughness was shot at North Texas and the unis resembled theirs from when they were North Texas State. If anything the plot was more representative of the issues SMU was going through.
If we are going to do any moving that has a passing use of a school then I would mention A Few Good Men.
