Missouri has to earn it's way into a top 25 preseason ranking most years because yall usually suck dude. That's my point. So what if you surprise people some years and end up ranked in the end? It still wouldn't be smart to rank mizzou preseason most years because yall haven't proved to be a consistent top 25 team. You went 4-8 last year dude. Why does it bother you so much anyway? Start winning some titles and string together some good seasons and maybe you will earn some preseason respect. Until then, stop bitching like youre being mistreated because you're not. Mizzou lost my respect as a program already when I witnessed LSU cream them last season. Missouri sucks and deal with it.

Says the guy who's a fan of a team that hired a coach who never had more than 3 wins in a single season as the full time head coach, LMFAO.

Maybe reread the thread title, the OPs post, and my post then you'll realize that this thread has absolutely nothing to do with anything you posted about, hick.

That coach youre referring to beat the shite out of missouri last season 42-7 lol. All we heard that week was how good yalls offense was and how we would have to keep up with your scoring. shite, we dominated yall with that coach youre laughing about. I guess yall should have been ranked preseason last year too huh? Missouri is going to be the 4th or 5th best team in the sec east this year at best. You're not underated, you just suck.

From a link within the article about overrated teams

I find it amazing what Saban has been able to do at Bama.

quote:

The key’s consistency, because it’s just about the hardest thing to come by in the sport, and why Alabama’s current run has been so impressive under Nick Saban. The Crimson Tide have been ranked in the top five of the preseason Associated Press poll eight straight years, and either No. 1 or No. 2 six times.

Only twice during that stretch has Alabama finished outside of the top four in the final poll, and never below No. 10. Should the voters tab Alabama as the team to beat in 2017, it’ll be the 10th straight year Saban’s team was No. 1 at some point of the season.

Alabama is anything but overrated

I'm ok with this, we usually flop the second we get in the limelight. But I really think this says a lot about what a great, under appreciated coach Pinkel was, and less about Mizzou being a higher caliber program than it gets credit for.

When was the last time LSU finished in the top 5 or played in Atlanta?? And hell I as a general rule pull for LSU in the West. The thread was about being overrated over the last 5 years and 10 years in the two articles. Mizzou easily fits that mold.

Just out of curiosity, has Missouri ever won a conference championship? I know they have never won a SEC or Big XII conference championship. What about the Big 8?

ETA: Not a "troll" or "flame" post either.

Post-Pinkel, Mizzou is nobody.

Pinkel was the real deal and proved it.

He gone, Mizzou gone.
