There's plenty to be had if you're not a nerdy POS.

I don't know how much difference it would make but Ole Miss, MSU and Southern Miss have to use the same admission standards as the HBCU as a result of the Ayer's case a number of years ago.

Well Emory's not the hood, but I can't really defend GT considering how bad the crime comes and goes.

I find this extremely difficult to believe.

well in 2006 I couldn't afford Emory, but that wasn't a recession

Don't tell the OT though, they're all getting their graduate degrees at Ivy schools.

I know 2 people from louisiana who were national merits with 35 on act who weren't offered a full ride to lsu but both were given a full ride to auburn.. Lsu is stingy with scholarships unless your out of state

Well in 09 I got into emory and not uga.
Ok so Emory isn't exactly the hood, I just like college towns better.

Emory is most definitely not in the hood.

Virginia Highlands ftw!

Not sure how they got these rankings.

Per MS law, all public colleges in the state have the same admission standards. This is, of course, done nothing but hurt Ole Miss and State at the expense of Delta State and the HBCUs.

Ole Miss is trying to double their size right now.

They take everybody right now.

ETA:

This stat is really dumb because of this reason alone. If Ole Miss was trying to shrink it student body size, it could vault to top 30.

ETA#2:

Hot girls are usually dumb, so that part does make sense. And I am not trying to say Ole Miss is a great school or anything. It's just that these stats are a bad way to show academic strength.

Alabama and Auburn both give full scholarships to all National Merit Scholars. If I remember correctly, Florida and Texas A&M do as well.

As already poined out, the list is garbage. It has nothing to do with how selective a schools admission criteria even is.

A school could have a minimum required ACT score of 12 and be number 1 on the list if enough dumbasses applied that only scored a 10 on their ACT.

Isn't Emory located next to Piedmont Park? If so is that the hood? NVM someone has already responded. I was going to whip out photos of the hood in Albany to compare.

Man, the ACC owns the SEC in academics like the SEC owns the ACC on the football field.

#2- Duke
#9- Virginia
#10- North Carolina
#11- Miami
#16- Georgia Tech
#34- Clemson
#36- N.C. State
#38- Virginia Tech
#39- Florida State

FWIW, slectivity isn't exactly a great measure of academic quality. It's not insignificant, but it's also not particularly meaningful.
