Stingley didn't play against State cause he got high the night before and had to be admitted to the hospital. Top CB is an example of overrated.

Stop trolling. Stingley faked an injury to get out of the game.

Shut the frick up dude

He has the gift/curse of premonition and had a fart attack when he learned how many yards LSU would give up

If Stingley plays we hold State to only 500 passing yards

If he's the next Patrick Peterson he had better get busy.

Stunkley is no Peterson. I'd take Peterson without giving the decision a second thought.

Also, I'd like to add that Peterson was a beast. Coaches and fans feared when the ball went his direction. That's not the case for the other guy. I'm not saying he's a terrible player or anything, but he's not as good as Peterson, and he's certainly not feared. BAMA has gone at him, not away from him like we did Peterson.

Not saying you’re wrong Stingley may fall short of PP but you’re comparing a complete career to a freshman season plus some pigmy half season. Let’s compare their skill sets and when they developed for each guy. Skill first, speed goes to PP, physicality goes to PP, ball skills Stingley, hips Stingley, hands Stingley. Development: freshman season Stingley was lightyears ahead of PP and that’s the only level comparison you can make. Their Soph years PP played twice as many games and didn’t have a great year. You can point to Stingley getting beat vs Bama but don’t forget that PP was roasted by Julio his soph year plus got whipped by players like Shay Hodge and Greg Childs as well.

appeared disinterested at times.

That's a kind way to say he shies away from contact. He's definitely not enthusiastic about the physical side of the game.

This may be fairly academic. He'll probably follow in the hallowed traditions of LSU stars and quit on the team. We may never see him suit up in Red Stick.

0 stats, no evidence to back up your claim.. you're just simply thinking about him. you want his jingle bells shoved up your chimney

you can look it up for yourself. You can look at Stingley freshman season and Forbes freshman season. Forbes had more tackles, interceptions for Tds. Stingley had 1 more int and more pass deflections. So all in all when Forbes gets an int, 60% chance that he is getting points out of it.

I don't know what's sadder the statement or Bammer losers co-signing that crap.

Pick 6s are overwhelmingly a product of circumstance especially for CBs. Using it as a deciding metric to rank CBs is nothing more than cherry picking stats and when you disqualify or devalue other metrics to elevate one in particular you expose your bias.

Are devaluing pick 6s? A state that gives your team 7 free points. What is the deciding factor?

I know this is a troll by an idiot poster, but Emerson and Forbes(State's corners) are pretty damn good. I'm not saying they are good as Stingley, but they aren't far behind.

State finally wins a championship in something other than cow tipping and all of a sudden they are the authority on college sports
