More than a few of their fans were throwing beer on the Alabama media, while cameras were rolling, after the game in 2008. Paul Finebaum might have deserved it, but the rest are all right.

been to games in gainesville, and its bad. but on another note, its possible some of them were more humble because they were behind in their state for so long. In the 80's when Ganlen Hall won Florida's first SEC champ, Miami was winning 3 national championships. In the 90's and early 00's, while Spurrier was winning SEC titles and a national title, Florida State was in the midst of winning two national titles and having 14 straight top 5 finishes. In fact, Spurrier was 5-8-1 against the noles while he was at florida. When Meyer took Florida to Two BCS titles, it was the first time Florida was the number 1 program in Florida.

I went to the Ole Miss game in Oxford this year and had no problems. I was in a LSU polo and Ole Miss students were sharing their alcohol. Didn't seem bad to me.

I think State is worse than most people think. Those bastards get real pissed when their team starts getting rolled on.

I've had very good experiences (1999, 2005, 2007, 2009) and very bad (2001, 2003). It's strange that the bad happened after losing to them in 2001 and 2003 in Oxford.

I went to ole miss this year too. no problems that i can remember. i was a little disappointed in the grove (maybe i expected something different, i don't know) but it was a pretty good time overall. couple of tents even invited us in for food and drinks.

ole miss fans arent obnxious really just uppity
even when their team was going 0 for whatever or winning 3 games a year they would tell you why your team sucks and why your coach is a a fool
why their tailgating is better, why their chicken platters and crackers are better...why oxford is better
etc...

UF fans were arrogant and obnoxious pre-Spurrier. I experienced it from 1986-1990. And it has only got worse.

I doubt ANY fanbase is as rude/obnoxious as Southern Cal's. If they were that rude in Fayetteville, I can only imagine how bad they are in LA.

Alabama will always be #1 but ever since I started posting on TD Arky has moved firmly to #2 for me.
