Pretty bad thread.

What exactly does "fade" mean?

TAMU has two difficult games next year. A significant part of this thread is filled with consternation regarding one of them.

Say TAMU loses to LSU. Cool.

Even if they lost to Bama earlier in the season, no reasonable person would argue 10-2 constitutes "fading" for a program that just had its first double-digit win season in 14 years.

TAMU will either go undefeated or lose 2 games in 2013. Neither option jives with fading.

This thread is pretty crappy.

11-1 is not a possibility? Pretty crappy response.

And fading in terms of regressing record wise against the other two teams. Is that hard to understand?

No--not in my opinion.

We'll either beat Bama and LSU or lose to both.

Besides, picking at a collateral point of the post is not good way to assert its substance is crappy.

we are going to have a strong defensive backfield. front 7 will be weak, but our defensive backfield wont

And THAT'S why A&M will be the one to lose two vs LSU and Alabama.

Do you think LSU and Bama give a shite about the secondary if the front 7 is weak?

Besides which, after those two games of your secondary tackling RBs 12-15 yards past the line of scrimmage, they WILL be 'weak'.

I'm seeing Bama winning at Collie Station, and LSU winning at UAT and at home vs A&M. But LSU will probably lose another to UF or UGA while Bama will go 11-1 and return to ATL for the SECCG.

All I know is I can sit and wait patiently on this up and coming season, because guess what? We are the champions, my friend, and we'll keep on fighting, til the end. No time for losing(except that one game each year) Because we are the champions, of the world.

A&M's offense is going to be better this year, and the OL hasn't missed a beat this Spring with the talent there. However, the front seven will be a concern again this year, though the incoming class will make 2014 the deepest defense in quite a while. The HEAVY emphasis on DL and LB recruiting will be welcome in the Fall.

2014 would be our year to shine, but Manziel is going to the NFL. Still, our QB backups are pretty damn good as well. Therefore, I am looking at a serious run in 2015, while averaging 9 or more wins a year for the near future.

I will say, the front seven was supposed to suck last year, but the DC found a way to make it work. Maybe he can do the same this year. The Alabama game will tell a lot, as I expect quite a few points in this one.

A&M and bama lost more starters than LSU this past offseason. it seems like i'm the only person that knows this

Does not fit the narrative. Remember A&M on the rise ...beat both Bama and LSU (who cares if true) last season and will do so again this season.

We had 10 juniors leave. Unless we're playing at D1AA level, we have 85 scholarship players, plus however many walkons.

I say your math is as bad as your spelling.

LSU losing half the team?

Offense

OL - four returning starters plus a fifth with starting experience

WR - top four return

FB - best FB in college football and his backup

RB - season opening starter. End of season starter. Top two rushers.

QB - returning starter

Defense

DB - six of top eight return. Five of six played in every game. Opponent, every situation, time on clock, score, none of that mattered they played.

LB - 100+ tackler. Best group of LBs in a LONG TIME. Deepest tigers have every been at LB. Four players with starting experience. Couple more with legit SEC experience.

DL - starting four will be SEC quality. Tigers need to find a couple of backups to continue it's usual 8-9 man rotation.

So BASICALLY, NO.

I don't think either of them "fades"....dumb thread

Alabama is going to be tough as always, A&M returns the Heisman trophy winner, and if LSU gets their offense rolling, they're going to surprise some people....

The team I see "fading" is Florida...they lose a bunch of excellent defensive players in the draft

I think the close wins Florida had last year won't be there in 2013

Most likely to have the worst schedule:

LSU by a mile. They play in the west, get @UGA and UF and play TCU on a neutral ground. But the exact same things were being said in '11. Mile's teams are infamous for playing up to their opponents.

A&M should be embarrassed by their schedule. If they don't go AT LEAST 10-2 their season should be seen as a HUGE failure. They get Vandy and @Mizzou out of the east and play Rice, Sam Houston State, SMU and New Mexico out of conference.

Bama has to play VT on a neutral ground (Not a top 25 team), get Kentucky and Tennessee in the east (2 of the 3 worst teams in the entire conference) and have Georgia State and Chattanooga out of conference.

Most likely to go 0-2 of the 3 teams when they all play each other

A&M clearly. Bama plays them early in the season and Saban is a monster with preparation and in revenge games. The LSU-A&M game is going to be in Death Valley, enough said.

I believe end of the season these teams finish

Bama
11-1 (lose to LSU)
Go on to win sugar bowl
*Yeldon wins Heisman

LSU
11-1 (lose to UGA)
Beat UGA in SECCG, Beat Ohio State in National Title

A&M
10-2 (lose to LSU and Bama)
Go on to win Cotton Bowl
*Manziel goes to Heisman ceremony
