Well LSU's offense was anemic last year and scored 24. They will be 10x better this year and the game is in Death Valley and Chief shut down Johnny after the 1st quarter last year.

They took the SEC by surprise for sure. Johnny Football has an ego now and the SEC defenses have seen him and have time to prepare. I'm not saying he won't perform but he won't have the same kind of season.

You gameplan for the offense, but you can't gameplan for Manziel. How can the D know what he's going to do, when he doesn't know what he's going to do...

Thats amazing that his maturation process started after the 7th game. I wonder why. Maybe because he got arse raped in the 7th game by LSU then got to play Auburn, Moo U, Sam Houston State, Missouri, a half dead Bama team that just played their super bowl the week before, and a big 12 team disappointed to be in a mediocre bowl.

That's a shite ton of qualifiers

Yes you do. You recruit athletes who are fast as frick and can get sideline to sideline. It's EXACTLY what LSU did last year.

That's not gameplanning, that's being fortunate enough to have the athletes to do it.

Mississippi State can gameplan all they want, they can't stop him. Same for Arkansas, Auburn and all but three or four teams in the country. Manziel is simply better than anything 98% of the teams in the country can put out there on defense.

ATM. They will have all the hype along with Bama going into '13. I only expect Bama to live up to that hype though.

LSU is gonna be around #15 or so, and 2 losses should be expected. LSU will meet expectations of the media, but ATM won't IMO.

That certainly is game planning. You set your defense up to make sure you have guys left in space who can get sideline to sideline. We saw it the entire game.

Don't blitz through A gaps, don't collapse the line, coach your DE's on working to keep outside leverage...all game planning.

This is one of the most reasonable responses in this thread so far.

Do I need to repost turnover facts from the other thread here?

Actually it's a legit argument, although I certainly won't blame us losing on that. We played a 4 hr game until 1:30am in Louisiana in a non-stop up-tempo game on both sides of the ball. The team was absolutely exhausted at the end.

This will be the last time I acknowledge you...ever.

I feel like I'm developing Autism just from reading your posts.

Have a good weekend.

I'm pretty sure I developed a little Bell's Palsy reading his posts.

I don't think I've ever seen more biased from a fan. And that's saying something with this board.

Plus his "facts" are all opinions

Hilarious coming from an LSU fan, considering the majority of you throw out generalities as facts with absolutely nothing to support them. I present an argument with tangible stats and visual evidence to support it (i.e. play by play stats and film showing the turnovers in question), and yet I'm "biased" and everything I'm saying is "opinion". I gave LSU credit for the turnover's they did force, and if they had forced all of them we wouldn't be having this conversation.

The vast majority of Aggie fans will refute both the Mike Evans drop and Thomas Johnson INT, because both had nothing to do with LSU's defense. It's not an opinion. Go watch the game film. Sumlin straight up says TJ ran the wrong route stem in his press conference and it is clear as day if you go watch the play in question. Mike Evans dropped the ball without a DB doing anything to disrupt the catch. The end of the game desperation lateral turnover had zero relevance to the game.

That's the last I'm going to post on the topic. You're either too dense to understand simple concepts or too stubborn to admit when you're wrong. Either way, I'm done wasting my time arguing with you.
