Let me guess, your friends are in high school or college?

Improved- Auburn
Disappointment- Vandy. They lost some major talent and need to bounce beach quick considering that their first game is an SEC game.

Ole Miss lost 33-14 to Alabama and was held to 215 yards of offense.
and was down 27-7 at halftime- game over
(and yes, I'm well aware our game was over at half too)

So you don't think KY can't win 4 games and A&M can lose 2?

Actually, I can agree with this post, but it's just funny considering all the Aggies' talk on this board. Doubling KY win total = 4 games, which is an improvement. I know KY has a very tough schedule, but they honestly have nowhere to go but up. I don't see 0-12 or 1-11 happening.
UK's 2013 schedule
2-0 Alabama State and Miami (the one in Ohio) gets them to last year
2-4 adds in 4 SEC losses
That leaves you with 6 "toss up" games
Western Kentucky - New broom sweeps clean and UK should win this
Mizzou - Game is at UK and Cats winning would not be out of the question
Tennessee - Like Mizzou, this is a home game and winnable by the Cats
Miss State - Could be a win for the Cats but not probable
Vanderbilt - Same as State
Louisville - could be a blowout by Cards, but i smell upset here
Say the Cats finish with 4 - 6 wins while they will have probably a Top 5 SoS should make them most improved. Auburn may be improved from last year but football expectations are greater for Auburn so a 4 win season would still be a major disappointment for them and 6-6 would still be a down year by Auburn standards. Hog fan expectations always seem to be well above reality so even 8 wins and they will be on a tear.

It was actually a game unlike every game we lost in 2011. Playing with the energy we played with in Tuscaloosa is what gave us hope of a change.

I think Missouri will be most improved.
USCe will be most disappointing.

I'll say Missouri will be the most improved
The biggest disappointment? This one is harder given that some of the higher ranked SEC teams will have favorable schedules (Bama, A&M). Given that UGA will start the year ranked a good bit higher than LSU I'll guess UGA instead of LSU (who I think most are expecting a 9-3 season out of)

Most improved: Auburn. UK is still too far out and that schedule is ridiculous.
UK and UT are going to have judge improvement by how well the teams play rather than by records given the schedules we face. My measuring stick is are we playing for every down even if we are getting killed or are we gonna quit at halftime whether we're ahead or behind like we did under Dooley?

LSU will not be a disappointment, because no one expects them to win 12 games this time around-- they'll win between 8 and 11, just like they should, with a shot at a 12th win in a bowl, on the high end.
If you believe Ole Miss or A&M is going to contend in the West, then, yes, they'll be disappointments; if you view them as the heart of the jumble between 2nd and 4th in the SECW, they won't.
Surprise of the year, I'll peg as Kentucky. 5 wins, and surprisingly competitive in other games. Arkansas, Auburn and probably Tennessee all fall short of bowl bids again, though Auburn is going to make the least on-field progress of the three (though the schedule translates to possibly the best record of the 3)

Most improved - Auburn or Ark. I am assuming there is talent on those rosters that could pull it together and play teams tight.
Disappointment - A&M - tough to deliver what media and fans setting up
I dont think LSU up for disappointment because expected to struggle with losses.
