.. that actually played a fair amount for your team?
Not some clown that flunked out, more so a guy that was good enough to play or start but never was close to living up to the hype.
For example, players like Darius Winston and Russel Shepard would be candidates.
It doesn't have to be football specifically.

I don't know how this can't be the consensus answer for LSU.

Tray Blackmon if that counts as recently

Chris Davenport was also a 5-star and never played

Nickoe Whitley this year(until the Gator Bowl, where he was as expected). His blown assignments murdered our season, his big hits were almost nonexistent, -- and he entered the season as one of the top 3 FS prospects in the JR class(#1 prior to the torn acchiles)...

Wow... completely forgot about him - I seemingly remember him having some good games early in his career. Tackling machine but headcase.
He was Vontaze Burfict esque.

Brandon Miller, Richard Samuel (although he's made some fantastic plays for us, just only like 3. He had so much more potential), Jakar Hamilton, Cornelius Washington, etc.

Jerrell Harris
Most disappointing Freshman this year has to be Shaq Roland

BJ Scott, although I hear he did real well for USA this year.

I never really thought much of him but had a lot of hype... Jimmy Johns.
Burton Scott was Sabans first 5 star at Alabama. Never saw the field...

Wasn't bad. He was the ONLY reason we won 4 games in 2010. I felt bad for the guy because he was the only one on the field trying to win it seemed. He almost single handedly beat LSU.
I wish he had this coaching staff and personel to play with. He would have been nasty in our current system.

I only really saw Jeff Fuller during his senior season and most of the time I was wishing he'd gone to the NFL a year early. He couldn't catch a cold that year.
