I say lil' Nicky will not want to start the season with a loss as Bammers will have the bricks flying!

Bowden has huge expectations this year at Clemson and if he falters with this team it may be his last year. No comparison, the preasue is on Bowden. Saban has three more years easy before he has to field a product. I think if Saban were to win less than 9 games in 09' his seat will warm up.

agree with that for sure

Clemson has all the pieces right now to compete for a national championship and Bama is still building. If Bowden doesnt win this game, it will be a huge blow and if Saban were to win, god help us all with all the praise he will be receiving.

this may be bowden's last year IMO. he's been dodging the bullet for years now. it's bound to catch up with him. especially this season.

What pressure does Saban have on him? Zero. That guy gets paid his guaranteed money he can not win one game over the next 3 yrs and he still gets his money. Bama sold their sole when they made that deal. Saban has made enough off Bama that he would never have to coach again anyway.

Bowden more pressure on him. every year we hear how great clemson will be. they fall apart late in the year. it is like clockwork.

The most pressure is always on the favorite, because they are expected to win. In this case, that's Clemson.

Probably true, but only because of that guaranteed contract.

Yes - if you take the contract into consideration. If that's the case, it should read:

Saban has three more. years MAXIMUM to field a team

Clemson is absolutely loaded this year, including having two of the best running backs in the country. I'm not sure what Bowden could do to restore his name and shake that "underachiever" image if he loses the first game of the season. This is a no brainer.
