I got you. Yeah I think under the circumstances it’s fine. It was kind of a messy break up. Ole Miss tried to force him to stay another year lol. I’m not sure he wanted to give them any advantages. I don’t blame him. Lane tried to keep the whole thing together, but didn’t want to stay after the year was over. That’s his right.

Who would actually believe something so illogical? It's way more likely Ole Miss gave the assistants ultimatums as they clearly panicked for 48 hours.

Kiffin is going to give ultimatums to assistants who already have jobs at Ole Miss (and reportedly for more pay)? That would be stupid. Lane is a lot of things. Stupid isn't one. He's going to a place where you could keep the entire defensive staff in place. He's going to threaten a few offensive coaches and make them come with?

He could assemble a good offensive staff in one week.
