Any nickname is crap, once the media gets involved. Brent Muss. uses them too much, and makes you hate every player with a nickname. How many times did we hear "honey badger" last year? I hope everything in life works out with T. Mathieau, but I hope he drops the nickname before mounting a comeback into ncaa football.

Johnny Football is stupid. Honey Badger was cool until Brent Musberger fell in love with it.

My vote goes to Johnny Football. Sounds like something Ohio State should have, getting ready to dot the i and all that apple-pie 50's shite they rest on.

Honey Badger came on after Mathieu had established himself as a huge playmaker over the course of 2 seasons, not because he was a spunky kid beating weak teams. Let's see what he does starting with the LSU defense, and later on the Bama defense, and whether he has a nickname other than "hope he gets well soon" after playing those games.

Manziel's great-grandfather was one of Texas biggest oil wildcatters in his day, a former sparring partner of Jack Dempsey, and a former sportswriter for the Monroe newspaper in early 1900s. His great-grandmother hailed from Baton Rouge.
