calling out on military service is the wrong thing to do with lobotomy, like really

why drag his name through the mud like that?
Speedy could end all of this with one statement. The fact that he's silent is troubling, and people are running with anything. Until Speedy or A&M says something, the speculation will continue.

I love how the onus all of a sudden switches to Speedy. I mean, the burden can't be on the reporters, investigators, or bloggers, right?
No, its on Speedy to make a statement, to make it a bigger story, to get more hits on some shitty website, never caring about the consequences of the accusations or assertions themselves.
Brilliant.

Why is the onus on Speedy to say something?

Worst case of blue balls I've ever had in my life.

Well, that will clear up the blue balls.

I don't think the onus is on him, but he would be very justified in lighting a couple of bloggers up if he doesn't have anything to do with this.

Your other player who said that he only robbed quarterbacks handled the situation superbly; demonstrated smarts and a great understanding of how to diffuse a situation with humor immediately.

Well if someone was dragging your name through the mud and you were innocent, why not say so?
Looks like the A&M lawyers are telling him to keep quiet.

According to a couple of sites, Speedy and Sumlin both know his name is being thrown into this and have talked. Its just as plausible he's been advised to not go off on twitter.

Yes. Speedy is an absolute beast and I have every right to be bitter

True. Though my point wasn't so much about the correct way to handle the situation, but about how absurd the situation actually is.
Remove the name from the equation and it goes like this:
1. Person "accused" of criminal involvement by reporter whose paycheck comes from his/her ability to get people to click on his/her story.
2. Reporter gets lots of clicks and story grows.
3. Indications come out that the story is, most likely, false.
4. Person accused has to release a statement/tweet that they had no involvement otherwise guilty in "court of public opinion."
See what's missing between 3 and 4 there? That's a major part of the problem, and we fuel it by giving money to those asshats.

My man, read my post again, and realize that YOUR fan base are the ones who started the Speedy talk, accusing him of being the one who did this.
Hell no. Geoff Ketchum is a longhorn Taylor Hamm is a money grubbing hack. Neither of those asshats get a penny of my money.

I'm not talking about them, they weren't the first ones to mention his name. It was regular Aggie fans on other message boards, and while we're at it look at the first page of this thread, 6th post.

So he has lawyers.

Game over. Good bye Speedy.
Time to move on.
