Thats the most in depth attempt at deflection I've seen in my 10 years here...

why has nobody on the team tweeted to deny any claims? surely some players would have put something up on social media by now if there was no truth to something going on with in the program
One reason for the "silence" may be the issues with releasing minor's names when it comes to stuff like this.
And before you Aggies decide to extrapolate that into a "LSU fan saying ______", which y'all are prone to do.....
- no, I do not know TX laws pertaining to that.
- I think LA law is 16, but don't know that for sure
- in no way am I saying that points to Speedy, or any other specific player... or even a player
- yes, I know if he's NOT involved this shouldn't be an issue. But I'm also considering that a warrant was issued and the judge that signed the warrant put a gag on it for some reason and to mention anything pertaining to it by a public employee (cops mainly) may be risking a contempt of court.
- any of these might have prompted TAMU staff, lawyers, or compliance to tell the whole team/dept to not say a word.
Just a random thought on why everybody, including Hamm either went quiet or hasn't said a peep.

Pol Pot, Genghis Khan, Stalin, Xerxes... all made Hitler look like a piker..

-Not Stalinist Russia? No, no really. Stalinist Russia did kill a large number of countrymen like the Nazi's, but the goal was to wipe out political opposition and not a certain ethnic group. The machinery for killing - camps, secrete police, etc.- were similiar to the Nazi's, but the truth is killing people for political purposes is hardly unique. Wiping out a race of people because of made up stereotypes and scapegoating is. Same reason why Pol Pot isn't a good comparison either.
That's debatable from certain POV's. While almost every move/slaughter the communists did was motivated by political goals, they did target specific cultural groups such as the Kalmuks and Volga Germans (them for obvious reasons).
However, they did not merge or intertwine race/heritage/genetics with politics even remotely to the extent the Nazi's did. That has to be a factor.
ETA: in other derail news......
quote:What's that, 9 players from UT in like 4 days that for one reason or another are "not participating"? Did he mis-type? Did he mean "ineligible"
Chuck Carlton ?@ChuckCarltonDMN 7m Texas announces that 2 players under NCAA investigation for accepting meal from agent "are immediately eligible for competition."

The anger and insecurity regarding Speedy that LSU fans have kept bottled up for the last six months is boiling over in this thread and it is magical.
I haven't seen this level of sheer, unapologetic HATRED of a player amongst an SEC fan base since Cam Newton. I mean they took his commitment HARD.

1,000 response thread regarding a player who has never taken a college snap.
That's not trolling my friend, that's some serious unresolved emotional issues coming out.

Au contraire, it is very clearly some of the LSU fans in this thread who have some issues they need to work through.
I wont quote some of the posts regarding Speedy made on the LSU recruiting board back on January so as to avoid another ban for doing so, but in all seriousness there are some Tiger fans who take this stuff WAY too seriously. The vitriol towards Speedy back then was almost shocking, even for this site, and some clearly haven't moved on.
