Bama didn't miss out on the playoffs due to losses to great teams. They missed out because they lost to Vandy and Oklahoma.
SMU is in because they only lost to their good opponents. Yeah, they didn't beat anyone, but they didn't lose to scrubs either. They lost to #16 and #17 in the final playoff rankings. Both losses were by 3 points.

Or... perhaps the moral is that losing to good teams and beating bad teams is better than beating good teams but losing to bad teams.
It's funny that only one team made the playoff with a loss to a 6-6 or worse team.
That happened to be a SEC team. Tennessee.

No, they missed out because the fricktards who made the rules and wanted representation from shitty conferences created a system that was rigged to take two lower ranked teams. Clemson in at #16. What utter stupidity.
You have a 12 team playoff with BCS era qualifying, and Bama is in. Hell, Bama is in with previous CFP selection criteria...i.e, no AQs.

You lost to Vandy and OU. If you had only lost to ONE scrub team instead of two you would have made the playoff field.
Just accepts that it is what happened.
You didn't miss the playoff due to losing to good teams. You didn't miss the playoffs because of losing to a tough OOC schedule.
You are out because you lost to a Vandy team that didn't even beat Georgia State.
Then you also lost to a very down OU school as well. Win either one of those and you're in. Two scrub losses were not acceptable.

No, the BCS only allowed 2 teams per conference in the BCS. 3 at the end if one of the first two was seeded #1 or #2.

Should have but they didn’t bc they had third losses. Never said ole miss and bama aren’t good this year. I just said don’t lose three games and then cry about it.
