Try rephrasing that to a definitive "this is what I believe is dumb about this hire" statement... that way we can bookmark it.
It's an interesting hire, maybe even a good one, but I don't feel like Dogs are being objective at all these days.

you guys hired a coach who will be teaching a team that's built to run with a dual-threat QB to pass more often?
This will be fun. You guys definitely have the personnel to run his offense.
“Joe Burrow is far and away the highest-graded quarterback throwing to a tight window, but Newman is second — and third isn’t anywhere near him. He also limited his uncatchable pass rate to the fourth lowest.
Newman has some rushing ability and has seen the eighth-most designed rushes for a quarterback (128). While some may say it’s his rushing that can be his greatest weapon, it’s clearly his arm. He’s the second highest-graded on 20-plus yard throws.”

Offense has all new players, as you and the other slope headed tards keep pointing out..

Yep. That’s why we signed the best WR class in the SEC. You so scared, chucklehead

So, whom should I believe?
Ryan Fitzpatrick who was actually coached by Monken?
Nope. I bet some random jackleg poster on a message board has better insight into Monken's ability. I'm going with Genghis.

That's why I posted what someone completely unrelated to UGA had to say about Monken. No UGA bias in Fitzpatrick.

QBR and Total QBR tell a completely different story.
As does NFL Draft Grades, apparently.

The stats show he improved, even with a much crappier supporting talent ratio. quote:Wilson was good at NCS His passer rating in his final year in the acc was not good, and the acc sucked back then too.
Stats are crap in College Football. but Bryant didn't improve any from his Clemson days : LINK
Same with Wilson: LINK

Wrong:
Bryant passer rating went up from 131 to 138.
Wilson passer rating went up from 127 to 191.
Bryant passer rating went up from 131 to 138.
Wilson passer rating went up from 127 to 191.

I posted the stats. Look at production by both an tell me they improved. Wilson's numbers were better, but he was the team at NCS.

What do I need to see in your links? I posted their passer ratings, which takes all the stats into account. Both went up.

Wilson went from producing 28 TDS to producing 33. Wilson went from producing 14 INTs to 4. Yes he improved...

is HC record at Southern Miss was 13-25. Terrifying.
And here you are saying how great of a coach Collins is but yet he just went 3-9. Terrifying.

Wilson went from passing the ball 500+ times to 300 times at UW. A team where he was the leading passer and second leading rusher to a team that produce a RB that had 1900 yeard. He was the Offense at NCS, he had some help at UW.

So more TDs on fewer passes..just take your L on this and Monken being a solid hire and move along.
