I guess Herb Street would be a bad judge of stadium noise when he said it was louder than any stadium he'd been in

It seems like he says that about every stadium he goes to.

Is there some kind of tradition behind it?
It was built in 1927 by students, using leftover rocks from the original construction of Memorial Stadium and one of the traditions of the football team is that seniors, after playing their final home game, take a rock from the "M" as a souvenir.

All BS aside, gonna be a great night tonight having Tony get his number retired.

Indeed.

Can't wait to see all the greats again, and Brian Jordan/Ray Lankford, and the Benes brothers. Been a long time since I've seen them.

The #10 in CF looks great too.

Wish I could have made it tonight.

only because of the hill. it really didn't look that big to me when I saw it. Definitely nothing that "wows" you about it. Though that press box/suites is really nice.

Its going to be a great night tonight at the stadium. I know Tony was worried that it would become a distraction for Matheny, but maybe its better to just get all of this out of the way now early into his retirement, then it will be all Matheny. Especially with the team doing well, this is really good timing.

I think it looks great! The south and the east sides of the stadium need this big boost.

This looks like a bigger expansion that what I had originally been hearing about, anyone know if these are official?

Looks aight. I know having the "M" on the hill is unique to your stadium but I thought they'd take it out and put actual seating there.

I'm actually pulling for Mizzou since I live in Missouri and you guys are in the SEC East. I don't want sorry arse football teams in my state, Chiefs and Rams are bad enough. I hope you guys win the East

True. And that's what SOME recruits love about big time college football, the WOW factor of the fans and stadiums. IMO Mizzou's stadium ranks about 12-13th in the SEC in "WOW" factor. Now on the basketball side Mizzou Arena is tight as hell, towards the top. I'd actually put them at #1.

I hope this rendering gets approved, it looks great, and would be a massive boost for Faurot.

wow I like that a lot!! Hopefully that's what they decide on. Not excessive but REALLY makes the stadium look a lot better than it does now.

Looks good Mizzou! However, the whole people sitting on a hill is so "Big 12"

Also, the incoming freshman repaint the rocks every year.
