That is there now just above the Rock M and grassy field. It is basically an equivalent to a lot of the baseball stadium "dug out hang out" sections where you can just kind of mill around. It's funny that places like the new Jerry Jones Cowboy stadium are making that en vogue when we have kinda had that thing for years but not due to trying to be cool just cuz we didn't know what else to do with it. They do usually put some temporary bleachers up toward the back of it for game days because the crowd size has filled up everywhere else.

I guess Herb Street would be a bad judge of stadium noise when he said it was louder than any stadium he'd been in when the opening kickoff was returned for a TD vs. OU in 2010. He had similar comments on the noise at the Nebraska game in '07. Yes, we don't get too rowdy when we're hammering Iowa State but for marquee games, Faurot does just fine. Tune-in when Bama comes to town but don't judge us on the noise when Arky is on the field...I said marquee games. Keep doing your high-pitch little falsetto cheer until your balls finally drop--now that's rocking noise.

In fairness, the noise bounced off the empty (arky) side of the stadium pretty well early in the 3rd quarter.

I definitely do not want to get rid of the Rock M. But I wish instead of adding that additional row higher up above the first tier of seats, that they would take the row and put it behind the Rock M. It makes no sense why we wont close that side off. We lose so much noise. Put the seats behind the Rock M Hill and make the stadium an actual bowl shape.
