If you win it all can you claim it like lsu does with their boxing natty in 1949 as one of their 51 national championships?

Would it not be an official National Championship?

I don’t know, I didn’t know boxing is. That’s why I asked…

Let's not go crazy here. Missouri is never going to be a serious player every year if the best they can recruit is 24th in the country. You might find some diamonds in the rough and have a top 10 team every 7 years or so, but that's it. And I think you guys are about to start doing worse in the SEC with the new alignment. Mizzou lucked up by being in the Eastern Division, just like you guys did this season and only had to face the worst and 3rd best teams in the West.

It's a new world and the portal is the great equalizer. The bluebloods can't corner the market on all the 4 and 5* only to have a bunch of them rot on the bench.
Drinkwitz got the governor to sign legislation to make NIL work for Missouri athletes.

It remains to be seen if Mizzou can sustain a certain level of success, but everything is in place for it to happen: the right conference, the right AD, the right HC, the right assistants, a plentiful high end base of high school talent and the right NIL opportunites for them.

So I'll restate... If Drink can get a few more local kids to stay local Mizzou can contend most years, especially if he starts hitting on back to back to back quarterbacks like Pinkel did for the majority of his run.

Kentucky had an excellent wrestling program until Title IX.

I wish the SEC had wrestling. There’s some really good high school wrestling in Louisiana (nothing compared to you guys in the Midwest) but it could be even bigger if there was more college exposure.

Florida has a lot of good high school wrestling programs. Lake Highland Prep is ranked 12th in the nation. Joseph Sealey from Lake Highland is ranked in the top 15 pound for pond. Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN and Union County, Ky have good programs. There are some good schools around Chattanooga and the Nashville area.

There are a lot of good high school programs in Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, and Kentucky.

Oklahoma will be the state in the SEC that produces the most top ranked wrestlers.

I appreciate the compliment, but my high school was 2nd in the State of Florida 15 years ago and we got completely worked over by the B teams from Pennsylvania
