The University of Missouri Department of Athletics has hired Kansas City-based architecture firm Populous to assist it in developing a facilities master plan to present to the University of Missouri Board of Curators for its approval to proceed with an unprecedented transformation of the Mizzou Sports Park.
In July 2023, Mizzou Athletics partnered with Populous to configure a comprehensive facilities master plan that would impact every Mizzou sports program and feature sequential construction projects to address current facility needs. Mizzou Athletics will present the plan, as well as Populous' conceptual renderings, to the Board at its Nov. 16 meeting at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Guided by a comprehensive assessment of Mizzou's current facilities, the roadmap includes the construction of several new competition venues and practice facilities and explores a reimagination of the north concourse of Memorial Stadium.

Much needed. I like it.

Are these renderings official? I haven’t seen them anywhere else. Don’t get our hopes up that they’re bringing back the rock M. It was a damn shame they got rid of it in the first place

Very pleasing to the eye

It was leaked and Dave Matter is pissed. So that should tell you as much.

Wow, looks like they're gonna put an upper deck on the west side as well!
Gotta keep the pee troughs though. Traditions must be maintained.

This would be awesome!!
Unfortunately, given the final product that the SEZ project turned into, I expect this will be significantly downsized.

Great news and long overdue.
Priorities should be:
1) Baseball stadium,
2) Football north end zone,
3) Parking

I would add renovating or even tearing down Hearnes before fussing too much with parking. That facility is aging rather poorly and it takes up a lot of prime real estate. Personally, I would love to see it transformed into a hotel/bar area in addition to a fresh, purpose-built arena for non-revenue sports like volleyball, wrestling, and gymnastics.

I do appreciate when schools put effort into the outside of stadium renocationsZ
something LSU forgot about with the upper decks

They're going to need it after Cockzilla remodels every thing this weekend...

Hearnes is going bye bye as part of this

I'd love to see Hearnes made into a hotel w/ a large parking garage. And then convert some of the parking around Hearnes into a grassy tailgating area. If they're truly planning to expand attendance by 10k+ like these renderings show, they're going to need something to draw fans in especially for the non-conference games

I like this-it addresses three things that are badly needed.
