They were talking on Jox today that they expect the 2018 tournament to be in St Louis. Makes sense. It's not like any fan base besides Kentucky really travels to it anywhere.

what an awful mistake it was letting those two school in our conference. its brought nothing but headache.

Yes, I can see how St. Louis bidding on a basketball tournament to be held in five years can really be a burden to you. I bet people are jumping out of windows all over the SEC over this.

said it a million times, and I'll say it again.

Memphis.

Plenty of hotel space, atmosphere that encourages public intox, top 10 NBA arena in Fed Ex Forum, centrally located, neutral city, list goes on....

Jacsonville > Orlando > Gainesville

But it should stay in ATL

Memphis would be a great spot too. I like it in Atlanta more often than not, but I don't mind it rotating to a few different places from time to time. I'm not a fan of having it in a different city every single year though.

I support a move to St Louis or Nola. Move these things around a bit.

Are you aware the tournament is in Nola this year?

Its just another glaring reminder we let two second rate school in our conference.

As long as we're going outside the SEC's geographical footprint, why stop at St. Louis? Move the damn thing to Denver -- they have a nice arena. Or how about Los Angeles?

To be fair, St Louis is about the closest you can get to all three of the SEC's biggest basketball fanbases: Kentucky, Arkansas, and now Mizzou. Plus when you put it more in the midwest you have more true basketball fans in general that will go. The tournament there could be a big hit for a year. Worth a shot. Can never be worse than the year it was in Tampa/St Pete.

World's changing, we don't have to like it, but St Louis is now in our footprint.

BTW, does anyone else absolutely hate it being in the GA Dome.

I actually like it more in the dome. Don't know why though.

If the goal is to appease the cat faithful, just leave it in Nashville

BTW UT currently sits at 5th in the entire country in average per game attendance. That's support, especially considering we're a team on the NIT bubble.
