Lock completing 75% of his passes

Let that sink in for a second.........and then, for desert, consider that we had 160+ from our tailbacks.

We are not "there yet", but we got the right guy pulling the trigger now!
Very astute...... There is definitely a world of difference between the two. Will be interesting to see if MM would stay with the team as a QB2(or 3 or 4)......
My guess is Gabe knows exactly what went down, but won't report "rumors", which is what it all is until Mauk or Mizzou make a statement. If he is on record as saying Mauk played his last game regardless of Lock's performance, I'd bet he is right.
Not here to claim "Lock is the immediate answer", but I have seen enough over the first third of the season to know a change was inevitable. Think back to the passing attack during the Kentucky game....quick hit, three yard outs thrown to the sidelines. That was (virtually) the entire passing attack. And when the play was designed to go to the middle third what happened........Butt-Pucker Duck was heaved into heavy traffic.

IMHO, Henson had to keep the training wheels on the Dora the Explorer bike for his fricking RSJr QB. Henson couldn't trust Maty and it showed in the vanilla-azz gameplan.

Also, Mauk needed Hansbrough healthy to give him a chance at looking competent......

I just read where that fantastic ground output came against the (to this point) 131st ranked Strength of Schedule.

Let that sink in for a second...........
Sweet Jeebus............coulda done without seeing the SoS numbers. We're a bigger fluster-cluck than I gave us credit for.
It is looking like 60% rain chance in the morning, 50/50 Saturday night.

I see some similarities between Towles and Mauk....both have the ability to dazzle and baffle on back to back plays. Drops are an issue for both teams........

If Hansbrough is less than 100% (which he is) our ground game is anemic. Cats with Boom in the mix have the upper hand on the ground. It will come down to our D, which is stout. I fear that this game will be the first of many where our D gives us an opportunity to win and our O finds a way to squander said opportunity.........
Fournette with a side of Tunsil for me, please.

The pick Mauk threw was bad, real bad........inexcusable at this point in his tenure. How can the guy not have learned yet to not make that throw.......... I know it is only 1 pick, but that looks a lot like "Bad Maty" from last year.......
This guy is either 12 years old or Full Potato......can't decide........
Well played Breakaway!! And I agree Lucas is poised to make a lot of noise this year.
The penis ......er, I mean stadium envy runs deep in our new home.
What is this "baseball" thing you speak of?
Slaten is a buffoon. Shock-jock........He's had a hard on for Mizzou bashing for years.

If we get another "double copter" day, I'm buying you a beer........

:blackheli:

Been out of touch for a while. Love being welcomed back with a Pinkle-Copter!!

Number one player out of kansas AND Iowa! I like where this thing is headed!!!!
I know, according to our friends on the rant, I shouldn't care. But swiping the top player in kansas makes me happy on so many different levels.
