shite as much as I think yall will struggle with the adjustment to the SEC

At least Mizzou has a recent history of producing some good major leaguers

WVU is all around sad in baseball, not even worth making fun of

No

Just because that happens to be the case in Knoxville doesn't mean it is the case nationally

It is the case nationally. Neither sport is relevant at all, but at least women's basketball has some star power in Geno and Pat and they play games on ESPN. Who and what does college baseball have? Absolutely nothing. You would be hard pressed to find anyone outside of the SEC who could tell you one thing about college baseball. I have lived many places besides Knoxville (mainly on the West Coast+VA), not a single shite is given about college baseball.

Nah, just AU, UK, and maybe UT fans that don't care.

It's not nearly as popular, even in the SEC, as some people try to make it out to be on here.

And UT has by far the worst attendance in the SEC for baseball.

It doesn't matter the size of Missouri's baseball stadium. It's too far away for anyone from the Southeastern Conference to travel there for a baseball weekend. Whoever goes to your home games now will continue and the number will not increase simply because you are in the SEC. Just too far away for baseball and basketball and too far away for me for football. That's my only problem with this expansion nonsense.

Absolutely, but the good teams have pretty good followings. The baseball threads on the rant would generally end up bigger than the football threads (mostly because of the pitch by pitch by gmorgan). It probably doesn't seem to be that big of a thing because a lot of the media and the population lives in the northeast. Early baseball season is fairly cold up there and so the sport ins't very significant. In the southeast and southwest it is fairly big.

I love college baseball. UK has a pretty good following, although it's been down the last few years.

Pretty important to me. Otherwise, my screen name might be "gridirondawg" or "hardcourtdawg" or "discgolfdawg" but it's not.

OMAHA, but you wouldn't know about that

I know just the entire west coast, Texas, and ACC schools.

Northeast and upper midwest is only place that doesn't care about college baseball and that is because it is cold as balls

Probably because you obviously don't care about it, and you would rather go see ginormous women slowly move up and down a court

Baseball isn't on the same level as basketball or football.

(College that is)

Sure games are shown on ESPN but what isn't shown on ESPN now days.Just doesn't have the same national relevance as the other 2.

not saying it's bad or anything. just saying what it is.

Um yeah I know

vol30 said women's basketball was much more relevant nationally than college baseball, which I was arguing with him
