well, the good news for Missouri is that being in the SEC will get them a lot more money for all the sports.. so they can invest in facilities to earn more

Or you can change your mascot to the Rebel Black Bear and ignore sports completely

sandwiched in between. They were a national seed in 2007 and hosted the regional. We eliminated them and then hosted Clemson and on to Omaha.

They ever been to CWS? Cause I know, A&M isn't exactly a great baseball school either. I'm pretty sure LSU still has more CWS titles than A&M has appearances.

A&M has a pretty solid sports program all around. Football/Baseball/Basketball, and they are very good in track :duckshead:

3 easy wins in the SEC-E for the Gamecocks.

and CNB SC has about half as many CWS appearances as FSU but still more wins and twice as many national titles.

Kentucky and Florida will put a hurting on us, but outside of that, the SEC looks pretty bleak in roundball.

What happened to Mizzou's best team ever when they played Arkansas?

Seriously, though. Arkansas is not going to be good this year, but I'd suspect that we'll be better in 3 years than Mizzou.

College baseball is even less relevant nationally than women's basketball, and that's saying something. Hamilton made plenty of poor decisions, but dumping millions and millions into our baseball stadium was possibly his worst. We have a decent coach now, hopefully he wins and moves on, so we won't be paying a baseball coach over 600K/year.

No

Just because that happens to be the case in Knoxville doesn't mean it is the case nationally

It's small but according to wikipedia it isn't that different than some of the other smaller SEC baseball stadiums.

Listed by capacity
11,462 - Arkansas
10,326 - LSU
8,500 - Ole Miss
8,200 - South Carolina
7,200 - Miss State
6,571 - Alabama
6,000 - Florida
5,400 - Texas A&M
4,096 - Auburn
3,800 - Tennessee
3,700 - Vanderbilt
3,291 - Georgia
3,031 - Missouri
3,000 - Kentucky

It's small but it's not a bad place to watch a game.

Just got a new scoreboard a year or two ago also

Here's a few more pics of the stadium

In 2010 they opened a facility next to the stadium with indoor batting cages and a conference room. Here is a quote from the press release.

"The McArtor Baseball Facility houses three FieldTurf batting lanes, with dirt pitching mounds in two of the lanes. In addition, the building includes a team room and conference room.

"This facility is a great addition for our team," Mizzou Head Coach Tim Jamieson said. "It allows our players somewhere to workout in 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. The new additions really enhance the look and feel of the ballpark. We are very excited to have the facility in place and to be able to recognize Coach McArtor by naming it in his honor. He has done a lot for Mizzou Baseball and this is just one way to show our appreciation."

Other recent renovations at Taylor Stadium include a new videoboard/scoreboard, a new brick wall that spans foul territory and new bleachers in rightfield. In addition, both bullpens have been upgraded and a new outfield wall has been installed. Future plans call for a new clubhouse and coaches' offices, as well as expanded seating. "

I'm guessing with the SEC move these renovations might come about sooner rather than later.

Looks nice to me.

If they don't provide shade for our stadium it will never be a great facility. It's too damn hot and such all up in the sun.

Also if you think our stadium is small be glad you didn't get West Virginia. Their stadium only seats 1,500.
