Say your playing Alabama, do you expect better than 60-40??? Long haul for a majority of your fan base.

Assuming this is a serious question - Mizzou would travel extremely well for a game like that. The distance wouldn't matter - easy flight, and not a terrible drive. I'm not sure how the allotment works for that game, but we would sell that out and then some.

i'm betting it's worse that 60/40 bama fans... they're locking down tix as we speak, and MO is a long way from atlanta.

hope I'm wrong, but there were empty seats for their game with FL this past weekend... if they can't show up for a top 25 matchup in columbia, why is anyone to assume they'll travel well for the SECCG?

If, and that's a big if, Mizzou made it that far, it would probably be the biggest game they've played in my lifetime, particularly if you're saying they win out getting there. Mizzou will have no problem filling their portion with more looking for tickets.

the thing is Bama fans started looking for tickets 10 months ago... where as mizzou fans probably haven't even started yet.

Yeah, that game was a sell-out. This weekend will be as well. Though I expect there will be some competition from the WS game in St. Louis.

Missouri has a hard time filling the stadium for home games during deer season though. 2nd and 3rd weekends of November never sell out.

Considering 10 months ago almost everyone wanted to fire Pinkel and as recent as 2 months ago, many thought we'd end up 4-8 or 5-7, no, Mizzou fans probably hadn't started. In fact, I would imagine the idea of even making the SECCG as a reality won't enter the equation unless Mizzou wins a couple/few more games. SC would go a long way towards that.

Uhhh...I predicted an incredible season. Just ask Bayou. I never predicted 4-8 or 5-7. And we all know my prediction is all that matters...

Dude. The Ruffians travel well. It's a good program with good fan support and money.

Remember folks. The Ruffians were in the Big 8 and Big Twatever for a loooooooooooonng time and still had a decent program. This is only the beginning.

I'm planning on taking a group. Quick question:

Can we expect some hotels to open up around the Georgia Dome as teams are eliminated from the Championship Game? Or are they just full of Bama folks?

like bowl games, a lot go local. if the west winner is bama, expect most of those to go to them. They have a large contingent here in ATL
